Amanda Roy graduated from the Pacific University PA program in 2012 and then received her Doctor of Medical Science from Lincoln Memorial University in 2021.  She serves as a preceptor for Pacific University and lectures with their rural health tract program.   

She has practiced in rural/frontier medicine her entire career and really enjoys having the ability to provide a full spectrum of care right where we are.  She grew up in a small farming community in Illinois and so choosing a rural community felt familiar.  "I like to be able to wave and speak to everyone on the street!"

When asked she has said that she loves medicine because it provides the opportunity to really connect with people and a never-ending learning opportunity. "I consider myself a life-long student and continue to seek ways to grow.  I see myself as a partner in care to impart the best information that I can to help patients make great health choices for themselves."

She has developed and led several health initiatives such as Diabetes Day and a children’s health fair in the past and looks forward to finding opportunities to be involved in her new community!

"My husband and I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, and spending time with our animals.  Fun Fact:  I have an English Bulldog that likes to skateboard!"
