MCHD is pleased to welcome Lori Lammers, APRN-NP, to our medical staff. Lori brings her expertise in primary care to Irrigon Medical Clinic, located at 220 N Main St in Irrigon, OR.

Lori Lammers, APRN-NP, a seasoned healthcare professional, began her career in healthcare in 1990, entering the nursing profession. She furthered her education in the medical field, earning her APRN-NP in 2015 at Kaplan University. Over the past 11 years as a Nurse Practitioner, she has provided care in diverse settings, including a community health center, on a Navajo Reservation, and in a correctional facility. 

Having spent her entire life in rural communities, Lori deeply understands the unique lifestyle and challenges that come with it. Her experience ranges from ranching communities to patients on the Navajo Reservation, who often lived 180 miles away from the nearest clinic. This understanding has shaped her patient-centered approach to healthcare.

She is passionate about helping her patients to become educated and take charge of their own health. "I feel patients need to understand the entire disease process- how it's caused, and how we can work together to help you to become the healthiest version of yourself. I believe patient education is vital- patients need to learn how to make informed choices and become the boss of their own healthcare." 

While she provides full-spectrum primary care, Lori has a passion for women's health. She understands that women need access to regular check-ups, screenings, and preventive care to detect health problems early and prevent chronic diseases. Her philosophy with her patients is rooted in empathy and understanding. "We can never be kind enough. We need to understand the patient as a whole by having empathy and putting ourselves in their shoes. Meet people where they are- by being gentle in your care of them, showing compassion and kindness, and understanding their needs."
