Jamie Houck graduated from Emporia State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Business in 2002 and then earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing in 2012. Her healthcare career started in 2012 and has spanned across rural Kansas, Wyoming and Oregon communities.

She worked as an RN in a Critical Access Hospital in Kansas. In Wyoming, she worked as a clinic RN and served as an RN in the Community Paramedic Program, ensuring high-risk patients had primary and preventative care and decreased their ER use as well as hospitalizations. She also has experience as a school nurse.

In 2018, she joined the Health District, where she worked as a Hospital RN, CNO, Director of Clinical Informatics, and, most recently, our Inpatient Services Director. When asked why she is passionate about rural healthcare, she says, "Growing up and raising my family in many small, remote towns, I understand it is essential to provide healthcare services that might otherwise be inaccessible to those who live and work in rural communities."

In Jamie's spare time, you'll find her flipping an old house or planning her next adventure.  "I love to travel and explore new places."
