MCHD has been made aware of scam calls targeting potential patients. These calls appear to be from Pioneer Memorial Hospital and other District phone numbers. The caller claims to be from Pioneer Memorial Hospital and is requesting their social security number in an effort to verify their Medicare card information.

MCHD is NOT making these calls, and unfortunately, we cannot track or prevent these scam calls from occurring. The scammers are using a technique known as "spoofing" to replicate legitimate phone numbers. It is important to remain cautious when receiving unsolicited calls asking for sensitive information.
